Frequently asked questions

We don't speak Spanish at home. Is that a problem?

No. Children learn the language gradually and naturally. Parents can talk to us in English or in Polish.

Is there English too?

Yes. The main language is Spanish, and every group has 30 minutes of English a day.

What do the children eat?

Breakfast, a mid-morning snack (usually fruit), a two-course lunch and an afternoon snack, from a caterer, for 23 zł a day, paid separately. You can order for one day or for several days at once. We can adapt the menu to allergies, and you can also bring food from home.

Do they nap?

Yes, after lunch. With dim lights, lullabies and stories. Children who don't sleep rest, read or watch nature.

How does the funding work?

It depends on the Wioska. In Krowodrza the monthly fee is fully covered by “Aktywnie w żłobku” (ZUS) and “Aktywny Maluch”: you pay 800 zł a month for extra activities. In Salwator you pay 2800 zł at the start of the month, and then ZUS (“Aktywnie w żłobku”) and the City of Kraków refund part of it: about 920–960 zł a month in total. Meals are paid separately.

How does settling in work?

We start with a meeting with the parents. Then we go step by step, in stages agreed with the family: first visits together, short separations that get longer and, when the child is ready, full days.
